The new law requires the payment of a Sustainability Fee prior to obtaining a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy, Certificate of Occupancy, or Certificate of Completion. A builder has up to two years to obtain a full or partial refund of the fee depending on the level of green building certification achieved.
