Worker dies after HS2 site accident

A worker has died following an accident on HS2 on Thursday at the Balfour Beatty VINCI site near Solihull in the west Midlands. The Enquirer understands the victim, who is believed to be in his 70s, was carrying out drilling work when the accident happened causing him to suffer a cardiac arrest. He was airlifted to hospital for treatment where he was later pronounced dead.
