JCB Mud Run attracts 1,000 competitors

'The JCB mud run is now in it's second year, attracted some 1,000 entrants, which is double last year’s field. They lined up for the five-mile endurance course which gave them the chance to pit their wits against slippery obstacles and gunge-filled challenges. Their muddy efforts, which were cheered on by a thousand more spectators, helped to raise a staggering £40,276 which will be donated to JCB's nominated charity the NSPCC for its work in Staffordshire.

LEED v4 gets green light, will launch this fall

'The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) announced today that its membership has voted to adopt LEED v4, the next update to the world’s premier green building rating system. The final overall vote was 86 percent in favor of adopting LEED v4.
