I replied to a thread at RFO that asked about Revit 2018 touting support for AutoCAD's GEO Reference feature. All that action did was provide a way for Revit to; originally calculate sun position (and therefore shadows) more believably and more recently to allow for energy analysis estimation to be done.

Revit appears to be incompatible with custom display scaling greater than 150%. If you've got a relatively new computer you may have a display that exceeds what Revit is currently designed to support, though I've seen reports of AutoCAD having difficulty with it too, FWIW.

When this new snap option appeared in Revit 2022.1 If my memory serves me it wasn't built into AutoCAD initially, perhaps an Express Tools addition? it was a LONG time coming. Not being able to snap to place something between two point has annoyed many a user for years. My problem is remembering it exists now.

If the xref's are always unloaded before closing a file then they won't show up in a Revit project. Two options exists to work around this situation (last post).

A year ago I wrote about XREF DWG files showing up in Revit even when they are assigned to Overlay vs Attached. It hasn't been resolved, meaning Revit doesn't do it anymore. This way the extra layers of the xrefs do not show up even though Revit is technically ready and willing to show them.

Revit is better, even if people often mispronounce it. ArchiCAD just sounds like a snobbier (or more obscure) version of AutoCAD. Talking Revit. But while I’m happy to drive a second-hand Jap-car to roll into work, I hate waiting for a Joe-average model to even open on my computer when using Revit. I turn both on daily.
