Sometimes it’s just vague specifications by your local drafting department, other times it’s the lumber/truss/panel operations that push it to the high side, and yes, often it is the engineers who are not taking the time to do fresh calculations on each home. When a wall is selected you might notice two blue dots at either end of the wall. Grab this blue dot and stretch the wall to any length you want. You might also notice that when you change the location line of a wall this blue dot will relocate, reflecting your newly chosen location line. Marathon Drafting. Design Reform.

Projections from the Wall: In the case of the projections from the walls like porches, sun shades, and the shafts from the veranda section which are above the sill level of windows, show them in dotted lines. If you don’t want to pay for blueprint software, then drawing them by hand is the way to go ! Draw to scale.

We are not a DOT company; we don’t do bridges, we don’t do highways. I continued grading until 2015, then went to school for drafting and design, where I was introduced to Autodesk products and BIM. We do government buildings, warehouses, schools, and parking garages. So I picked that up and used it post-graduation.

Youll see a blue dot indicating the end point of the wall. Right click on this dot, do a "disallow join," then back to "allow join" and the intersection may heal. Marathon Drafting. Other BIM Software. IFC/ODBC Software. Cycle through the various options to find one that cleans properly. Disallow Wall Join.
