Building control crisis averted by competence proof extension

A crisis in building control in England has been averted by the Building Safety Regulator granting a 13 week extension to the deadline by which inspectors have to prove competence. The Regulator warns however that there will be no extension beyond this transition period that ends on 6 July. See the panel to the right.
