Deal with it! Some CAD developer is going to turn out a really cool proprietary integrated environment and either you go with it or lose out in the market, regardless of BIM. You need to be smarter to document buildings in 2D. This is your risk, or advantage, or whatever. Or let be dealt by it, so we can all move on. at 5:03 AM.

A VDC rotation slot happened to open up, and at that time I didn’t really know a great deal about VDC. I’m doing a lot of the training and tons of research and documentation, but I believe that the future would be similar to how Revit developed. I just had a very broad idea of what it was. . Other then that, I think this is likely to work really well for a number of people, particularly if youre dealing with photos or renderings, annotated 3D views might be trickier. This is something that is possible in good'ol CAD and I've used that to document photos of existing sites before. Autodesk, are you listening?

When the survey comes in or you are forced to do some site documentation (guessing) create a new Revit project file (for example call it: Site Master or Master Site) and create whatever information you intend to use in this file.
