I just received an email referring to an attachment that was nowhere to be found. I have to admit I’ve been guilty of this faux pas myself and this is just one of the issues I’d like to address in my blog today. . Missing attachments can be user error or a setting issue. Mine have always been the former and now I know I’ll never have it happen again.

Work Begins on Fort Allen Project in Puerto Rico

The Korte Company was recently awarded a Design-Build project at Fort Allen in Puerto Rico. The 54,800 square foot project consists of an Armed Forces Reserve Training Center and storage facility. The two-story training building is situated around a central courtyard and features both open and private offices throughout. The design also includes a weapons simulator and control room, along with classrooms, assembly hall, fitness rooms, locker rooms and an armory/vault.

ABI shows dramatic turnaround in July

The American Institute of Architects' Architecture Billings Index leaped nearly six points in July to 43.1, signaling an improvement in business conditions. In fact, the increase more than offset the nearly five-point dip in June. The index was 43.1 in July, 37.7 in June, and 42.9 in May, so the numbers are the best they have been in a long time. Any score above 50 indicates an increase in billings.

Our friend and former SMPS National President Donna Corlew landed a job earlier this week as Southeast Regional Marketing Manager with environmental engineering and consulting firm Brown and Caldwell. Donna checked in with us earlier this week to let us know of the good news.
